Abstract It is shown that the stationary supersonic flow of mass loaded plasma exhibit singular behevior at the point where Mach number of the flow is equal to 2, which results in arbitrary amplitude wave steepening at this point, whereas for a greater Mach number values small amplitude disturbances are smoothed. So continuous mass loaded plasma flow is possible until the Mach number reduces to M = 2 during the slowing down of contaminated flow well before the sonic point M = 1, where stationary solution itself shows ordinary sonic peculiarity (stationary velocity spatial gradient goes to infinity).
