IT has been contended that from the operators' point of view air freight is preferable to passengers because of the inability to complain or be the cause of any of the minor troubles experienced with passengers, but in the past—at least so far as civil operations were concerned—air freighting as such has represented only a small proportion of the total loads carried by aircraft.
