DEVELOPED to enable integrally-reinforced structures to be produced more easily than by other methods, a novel chemical milling technique employed by Chem-tronics Inc of El Cajon, CA, produces load-bearing jet engine ducts in which the required configuration of stiffeners and comparatively thin areas is formed from solid sheet, titanium alloy stock.
