IN May, 1989 the first Boeing 747 came into FFV Aerotech's new Diamond hangar at Stansted for a base check. This was a significant event in the development of the company's facilities and reflected the widening of maintenance activities which had for some time been concerned primarily with servicing 707, 727 and DC-8 aircraft. FFV Aerotech had been known for many years as responsible for the overhaul and depot maintenance of Swedish Air Force aircraft and consequently has developed highly advanced concepts of value both to commercial and military aircraft.
