This parking brake control device for a transport vehicle is installed in a vehicle body equipped with a negative control parking brake (17) for maintaining a state wherein rotation of the wheels has stopped, and is equipped with a control unit (32) for controlling the movement of a spool (21) for the purpose of releasing or operating the parking brake (17) by exciting or demagnetizing a solenoid valve (25). The control unit (32) has: a stop determination unit (33) that determines whether the vehicle body has stopped traveling; an operation command unit (34) that operates the parking brake (17) when the stop determination unit (33) determines that the vehicle body is stopped; and a release command unit (35) that releases the parking brake (17) after a preset time has elapsed from the beginning of the operation of the parking brake (17) by the operation command unit (34).
