SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR POWERING AN ELECTRIC AERIAL In an example, a power source (100) for an electric propulsion system (118) of an aerial vehicle (110) includes a body (124) having an electrical energy storage device (138) configured to store electrical energy. The power source (100) also includes a plurality of terminals (242) coupled to the electrical energy storage device (138) for supplying the electrical energy from the electrical energy storage device (138) to the electric propulsion system (118) of the aerial vehicle (110). The power source (100) further includes a plurality of flight control surfaces extending outwardly from the body (124). The flight control surfaces are actuatable to adjust a flight attitude of the power source (100). Additionally, the power source (100) includes a flight control system including a processor (252) and configured to actuate the plurality of flight control surfaces to fly the power source (100) to a target location when the power source (100) is jettisoned from the aerial vehicle (110).
