Abstract - AU2021100298 Emergency Services and Response Transmitter (ESRT) A Device connected to in vehicle electronics of emergency services vehicles. An AM/FM transmitter which activates in conjunction with, or separately to, emergency lights and sirens. Short range transmitter (distance of approximately 500 metres depending on output and range of transmitter). Transmitter cuts over all existing AM/FM frequencies. Device then transmits selected pre-recorded messages to members of the public in their personal vehicles. The goal is increasing workplace safety for emergency services personnel and general road safety for all road users and members of the public. Applications envisioned for Police, Fire and Ambulance and VicRoads/Traffic management services.
