An electric vehicle charging system and method are provided that is simple and cost effective to install. The system comprises: a monitor, coupled to a transformer of a power grid, and configured to measure one or more characteristics of the power at the transformer; and an electric vehicle charger, coupled to the transformer, and configured to charge one or more vehicles. An output of the electric vehicle charger is adjustable according to the one or more characteristics of the power. 200/315kVA 135- Figure 1
