Abstract The present invention provides a power collector mounting assembly comprising a plurality of pontoons, each comprising a pipe a plurality of frame members extending between adjacent pairs of the pontoons. Each frame member is generally chevron or convex shaped with a peak between opposite ends of the frame member, wherein each end comprises a mount to one of the pontoons. An area between the peaks of adjacent frame members and the corresponding ends of the same adjacent frame members is suitable for receiving a power collector disposed generally at an acute angle to the horizontal in use.
