The invention provides an intelligent traffic light system suitable for underground transportation. The intelligent traffic light system suitable for underground transportation comprises a vehicle detection part, a PLC control part, an execution mechanism and an HMI part. The vehicle detection part is connected to an input interface of the PLC control part. The execution mechanism is connected to an output interface of the PLC control part. The HMI part is connected to a data bus of the PLC control part. The vehicle detection part at least comprises a vehicle detection sensor buried underground and a relay connected to an induction coil. The execution mechanism at least comprises a red light and a green light which are arranged at an underground road crossing. The intelligent traffic light system suitable for underground transportation can guarantee that vehicles going into and out of a mine well travel orderly, and therefore the adverse influences caused by vehicle encountering and traffic jams on mine production are avoided.
