The invention provides a reversing sensor assisting system based on a single-chip microcomputer for an automobile. The system comprises a single-chip microcomputer, a probe, an infrared ranging instrument, a display and a voice reminder, wherein the probe, the infrared ranging instrument, the display and the voice reminder are connected with the single-chip microcomputer; a tail image is transmitted to the display by the probe through the single-chip microcomputer; the infrared ranging instrument tests the distance from two ends of the tail to other vehicles and transmits the data to the single-chip microcomputer; after receiving the data, the single-chip microcomputer compares the received data and calculates according to the specific position and shape of the vehicle to obtain the rotating direction of a steering wheel, and then informs a driver through the voice reminder. The reversing sensor assisting system based on the single-chip microcomputer for the automobile is simple in principle, applicable to reverse parking of a new driver, and relatively high in practicability.
