The invention relates to a lock and a straddle type vehicle with the same. The lock comprises a body, a control arm, a sliding block, a check block, a first spring, a positioning part and a second spring. The body forms a containing space. The control arm is located on the body in a rotatable mode. The sliding block is movably located in the containing space and abuts against the first end of the control arm. The check block is movably located in the containing space. The first spring is connected between the sliding block and the check block. The check block is provided with an advance path in the moving direction of the first spring. The positioning part is movably located in the containing space and used for being protruded out of the body. The moving direction of the positioning part is perpendicular to that of the sliding block. The second spring is connected between the positioning part and the body. The acting direction of the second spring is perpendicular to that of the first spring.
