Specific to the arrangement characteristic of an elevator with a lateral counterweight, the guide rail is arranged in the middle and a group of diversion sheave assemblies is arranged on both sides, and the distances between the centers of the diversion sheave assemblies and the central connecting line of the cage guide rail are determined, so that the overall balance of a cage is ensured, and the situation of stress offset load of the cage is effectively improved; moreover, one side of a guide device is constructed by an original elevator cage guide rail, and the cage guide rail is taken as a positioning reference, so that mounting and positioning are convenient and easy.
