The invention provides a method for controlling an air conditioning mode damper of an automobile. The method comprises the steps of (a), initializing; (b), acquiring a signal, wherein the acquired signal includes environmental temperature, solar radiation intensity, indoor temperature of the automobile, and set air conditioning temperature; (c) accurately calculating the process umber according to the environmental temperature, solar radiation intensity, indoor temperature of the automobile, and set air conditioning temperature; (d) enabling the mode damper to select one of a face blowing mode, face/ feet blowing mode, feet blowing mode, and feet blowing/ defrosting mode to work according to the process number and related set parameters in initializing; (e) returning to step (b) to enter the next process cycle. The method has the beneficial effects that the process number can be accurately calculated, and thus the comprehensive environmental condition can be accurately and objectively reflected; in addition, the feet blowing/ defrosting mode is added for the mode damper, so that the automatic control range can be expanded, and the automation degree is increased.
