The invention provides an automatic steering indicator of locomotive. The automatic steering indicator of locomotive comprises a slide rheostat coaxially arranged with a steering wheel, which outputs a voltage signal proportioned to the rotating angle of the steering wheel; A/D (analog to digital) converting module, which converts a voltage signal output by the slide rheostat to a digital form; a single chip, which is connected to the output end of the A/D converting module, and receives the digital-form voltage, outputs a starting signal when the voltage signal is more than the first preset value of an internal memory, and outputs a closing signal when the voltage signal is less than the second preset value of the internal memory; a steering lamp, which is connected to the output end of the single chip, and lights up according to the starting signal and turns off according to the closing signal.
