The invention relates to a cable car safety device. The cable car safety device comprises a lifting rod, a cable lifting ring base, a cable car lifting ring base, a rail groove, a guide wheel, a cable and a cable car, wherein the cable and the cable car are movably connected through the lifting rod; an upper rod head is arranged at the upper end of the lifting rod, and is movably hinged to the cable lifting ring base; a lower rod head is arranged at the lower end of the lifting rod, and is movably connected with the cable car lifting ring base; and the vertical guide wheel is arranged in the bottom center of the cable car. When the cable car enters a terminal point, the guide wheel enters a rail under a traction effect of the lifting rod to guarantee the cable car to turning around along the rail groove. As the cable is a large circle, and the rail groove is a small circle, the cable car is ascended along the rail groove under the traction of the lifting rod and the limit of the guide rail, and turns around for small circles; and the speed of the cable car is lower than the speed of the cable lifting ring surrounding the large-circle cable. The cable car safety device brings more convenience and safety to passengers to get on and get off the cable car.
