In order to accurately detect traveling conditions of vehicles on a country road so as to provide reliable information for vehicle crossing on a relatively narrow country road, the invention provides a suspension type ultrasonic array detecting device for vehicles on the country road. The suspension type ultrasonic array detecting device comprises a power supply module, a microprocessor module, a five-array-element ultrasonic array module, a pulse drive module and an echo detecting module. The vehicle detecting device can be used for detecting passing information of vehicles, vehicle travelling directions, vehicle types and the like. The vehicle detecting device has the advantages of being low in cost, convenient to mount, relatively small in size and the like, can be widely applied to a vehicle detecting occasion on the country road which is relatively narrow in road surface and difficult in signal limited transmission wiring.
