In a hybrid vehicle in which an intermittent drive mode can be implemented, the timing of switching to the intermittent drive mode is optimized, and fuel consumption of an internal combustion engine is suppressed. A hybrid vehicle travel state control device (100) is configured such that a travel mode can be selected from an EV travel mode in which only power from a rotating electrical machine is caused to act on a drive wheel, and an HV travel mode in which the power from the rotating electrical machine and power from the internal combustion engine are caused to act on the drive wheel in a cooperative manner. In the HV travel mode, the intermittent drive mode in which accelerating travel and coasting travel are repeated by intermittently driving the drive wheel can be selected. During a steady travel in the EV travel mode, in response to a demand for the intermittent drive mode, the hybrid vehicle travel state control device (100) switches the EV travel mode to the intermittent drive mode in accordance with the result of comparison of the amount of electricity stored in an electricity storage means and a convergence value of the stored amount of electricity in a case in which the intermittent drive mode is selected.
