The present invention provides a vehicle lock controller capable of automatically locking a vehicle door in an appropriate time, thereby increasing the security performance of the vehicle. A human detection sensor (2) is provided in a vehicle (1), so that a vehicle door lock controller (10) detects the presence of a person around the vehicle (1) on the basis of the output signal of the human detection sensor (2). The vehicle door lock controller (10) is provided with a short-range wireless communication unit (14) for performing wireless communication with a wireless key (5) in a short-distance range and a long-range wireless communication unit (15) for performing wireless communication with the wireless key (5) in a long-distance range from the vehicle (1). Depending on whether there is communication between these wireless communication units and the wireless key (5), the vehicle door lock controller (10) determines a time-out time until a door of the vehicle (1) is automatically locked after being unlocked.
