An intelligent traffic signal control system is composed of an intelligent camera, a control host and a traffic light. The control host sets the maximal continuous pass time of each direction; green light is changed into red light when the maximal continuous pass time is exceeded but not all motor vehicles in the green-light direction pass through; and the green light is also changed into the red light when all the motor vehicles in the green-light direction pass through in advance within the maximal time. The control host automatically collects counting information of the intelligent camera, whether there are vehicles in first stalls in different directions of a crossing is determined, the number of the vehicles passing by is calculated, data is analyzed to determine the optimal passing time of each direction in each period, and slow flickering of yellow light at night is replaced by automatic traffic light adjustment according to whether there are vehicles on the road. The traffic signal control system can be manually controlled by a remote controller.
