The invention relates to a rigid axle as a non-driven rear axle of a motor vehicle, comprising an axle body which is guided relative to the vehicle body exclusively by four connecting rods that are rubber-mounted at least on the vehicle-body side and which connects the wheel supports of the two wheels. Two connecting rods, which are swept relative to the vehicle longitudinal axis and which are preferably oriented towards the vehicle center, are arranged on each vehicle side such that one connecting rod which is hinged to the axle body above the wheel center runs towards the front in the driving direction and one connecting rod which is hinged to the axle body below the wheel center runs towards the rear against the driving direction. The vehicle body-side rubber mountings of the connecting rods which run towards the front are preferably softer than the vehicle body-side rubber mountings of the connecting rods which run towards the rear.
