The invention provides an elevator emergency braking device, which reduces the rising of the temperature caused by the emergency braking without complicating the structure of the emergency braking device. The elevator emergency braking device comprises a pair of wedge-shaped braking members (41), an inclination body (44), an elastic body, and a lifting member. The wedge-shaped member are arranged on the inner guide rail (2) inside the elevation passage (21) along the vertical direction; the inclination body (44) is positioned on the back side of the braking member; the elastic body applies pressure toward the inclination body; and the lifting member (42) enables the braking member to change position relative to the eleavator compartment. The braking member comprises a friction member (41b) which is positioned on the projection opposite to the guide rail, a heat absorption member (41c) which is arranged on the periphery of the friction member, and the heat conductivity of which is higher than the friction member, and the support body which is of a wedge shape and is used for retaining the friction member and the heat absorption member.
