The invention provides a bridge expanding mechanism of a self-propelled aerial work platform. The bridge expanding mechanism comprises a chassis, upper connecting rods, oil cylinders, lower connecting rods, crawler brackets and crawlers, wherein two upper connecting rods, two oil cylinders, two lower connecting rods, two crawler brackets and two crawlers are respectively and symmetrically arranged on the left side and the right side of the chassis. According to the structure on the left side of the chassis, the right end of each of the upper connecting rod and the right end of each of the oil cylinder share a hinge point and are together movably connected with the left side of the chassis; the left end of each of the upper connecting rod is movably hinged to the upper end of the corresponding crawler bracket; the left end of each of the oil cylinder shares a hinge point with the left end of each of the lower connecting rod and is movably hinged to the middle upper part of each of the crawler bracket; the right end of each of the lower connecting rod is movably hinged to the left side of the chassis; each crawler is fixedly connected with the lower end of the corresponding crawler bracket. The structure on the right side of the chassis is the same as the structure on the left side. The bridge expanding mechanism disclosed by the invention is simple and compact in structure, and high in space utilization rate. Through the adoption of the bridge expanding mechanism, the crawlers or wheels on both sides of the self-propelled aerial work platform can extend out and can be withdrawn, and the trafficability can be effectively improved.
