This actuator unit is equipped with: two chambers delimited by a piston inside a cylinder; a supply channel capable of supplying a working fluid discharged by a pump to the two chambers; a discharge channel capable of connecting the two chambers to a tank; a direction-control for selectively making supply of the two chambers possible in relation to the pump or tank, by connecting or blocking the supply channel and the discharge channel; a control channel for branching off from the supply channel on the pump-side thereof in relation to the direction-control valve, and connecting the pump and the tank; a variable relief valve which is provided in the control channel, allows the flow of the working fluid heading to the tank from the supply channel by opening when the pressure from the supply channel reaches a valve-opening pressure, and is capable of varying the valve-opening pressure; and a center channel for connecting the tank to the interior of the cylinder.
