The invention discloses a lever-type bicycle. The lever-type bicycle comprises a bicycle frame, a front wheel, a rear wheel and a driving mechanism. The driving mechanism comprises overrunning gears, driving levers and a gear sleeve. Two sides of the center of the rear wheel are connected with the overrunning gears. The driving levers are arranged on two sides of the bicycle frame. A connecting line between fulcrums of the two driving levers coincides with the central axis of the two overrunning gears. Rod bodies at ends of resisting arms of the two driving levers are in transmission connection with the corresponding overrunning gears by means of the gear sleeve. Rod bodies at ends of power arms of the two driving levers are connected with driving pedals. The lever-type bicycle has following beneficial effects: loss of the bicycle during a conductive process is effectively decreased; compared with a chain-type transmission loss, loss can be reduced by 80%; compared with a bicycle in the same kind, the cost of the lever-type bicycle can be decreased by 50%; the lever-type bicycle has long service lifetime and can reach 8 kilometers for avoiding overhaul; and the lever-type bicycle I simple in structure and convenient in maintenance and low-carbon and eco-friendly.
