A travel control device applied to a hybrid vehicle (1A) provided with a planetary gear mechanism (21) capable of distributing the power of an internal combustion engine (11) to a first MG (12) and an output part (15), and a second MG (13) capable of outputting power to the output part (15), the travel control device causing the hybrid vehicle (1A) to travel in an accelerating/decelerating travel mode when a high-speed steady travel condition is fulfilled while the vehicle (1A) is traveling, the accelerating/decelerating travel mode alternately repeating, within a target vehicle speed range (R), accelerating travel for accelerating the vehicle (1A) by means of the power outputted from the internal combustion engine (11) and inertia travel for stopping the internal combustion engine (11) and causing the vehicle (1A) to travel by means of inertia; wherein during accelerating travel, the internal combustion engine (11) is controlled so that a constant amount of power is outputted from the internal combustion engine (11) and the vehicle (1A) is accelerated at an acceleration such that the speed of the first MG (12) is zero.
