The invention discloses a hydraulic mountain climbing elevator, belongs to the field of elevators, and has the advantages of capability of walking straight lines and curve lines, operation angles of 0-90 degrees, greater bearing capacity, infinite lifting height, easy manufacturing, safety and reliability. A moving body (car) 11 is fixed with a hydraulic station 10 and multiple or multiple sets of hydraulic cylinder bodies 9; a hydraulic rod 6 therein is connected with a slide plate 4, and can move in a slide way 8; the head thereof is provided with a controller 7 for connecting with an extension block 3; and the components alternately extend or shrink according to signals sent by a displacement sensor 5 to procedures set in the hydraulic station 10 to step on or hook a fixed plate 2 so as to enable the moving body (car) 11 to perform a reciprocating motion along a guide rail 13 through a guide wheel 12. When an included angle between the moving direction of the moving body (car) 11 and the horizontal plane is smaller than 40 degrees, a fixed frame 1 is not arranged; and when the included angle is greater than 40 degrees, the fixed frame is arranged.
