The invention discloses a protective cover device capable of reducing wind noise of a fan of an elevator. The protective cover device comprises a car. The transverse flow fan is arranged on the top of the car and comprises a lateral air inlet. Wind blocking covers are arranged on the sides, except for the side of the air inlet, of the transverse flow fan. Sound insulation cotton is composited on the inner sides of the wind blocking covers. Due to the fact that the air blocking covers are additionally arranged on the sides, except for the side of the air inlet, of the transverse flow fan of the elevator, when the car runs at a high speed, the generated strong air flow is blocked by the air blocking covers, can enter the car only through the lateral air inlet of the transverse flow fan and can only strike the sound insulation cotton of the air blocking covers, and no strong air flow can be directly generated. When the elevator runs at a high speed, the protective cover device can play a sealing and sound insulating role without influencing the air inlet requirement of the air inlet of the transverse flow fan. Thus it can be seen that the protective cover device has a remarkable effect on wind noise prevention of the high-speed elevator, and is obvious in effect when used for the high-speed elevator of a test tower.
