The invention provides a fireproof method for a railway carriage, which comprises the following steps: firstly, forming a through hole in a carriage bottom plate on which a relieving valve pull rod is arranged, and penetrating through the through hole by utilizing a fireproof pipe sleeve, wherein the fireproof pipe sleeve is hermetically connected with the carriage bottom plate, and the relieving valve pull rod penetrates through the fireproof pipe sleeve; then disassembling floors in the carriage near the part at which a relieving valve cover is arranged, and installing fireproof isolation cylinders into a cold-proof interlayer, wherein one ends of the fireproof isolation cylinders are hermetically connected with the carriage bottom plate, and the other ends of the fireproof isolation cylinders are hermetically connected with the relieving valve cover; and finally, restoring the floors in the carriage near the part at which the relieving valve cover is arranged to be in the state before disassembling. By adopting the fireproof method provided by the invention, the flexibility and range of movement of the relieving valve pull rod are ensured, and fire sources can be effectively controlled in the fireproof isolation cylinders, thereby thoroughly preventing the fire sources from entering the cold-proof interlayer of the carriage from the relieving valve duct structure at the bottom of the carriage and causing the fire accident of the carriage, and further greatly improving the fireproof reliability of the carriage.
