The invention relates to a monitoring system and a monitoring method of power distribution rooms of passenger train carriages and relates to the monitoring system and method. The system comprises an environmental parameter detection system, detection extension sets, a detection host and a terminal management system. The detection extension sets are used for monitoring state information in a real-time manner, displaying normal state information and sending normal state information to a detection host by timing, displaying abnormal state information, alarming and sending abnormal state information to the detection host. The detection host is used for displaying sent state information in a centralized mode and transferring state information to the terminal management system. The terminal management system is used for managing information transferred by the detection host in order to achieve remote centralized monitoring of all trains. The method comprises following steps: detecting environmental parameters of monitoring places; monitoring state information in a real-time mode; displaying state information in a centralized manner; and managing state information. The monitoring system and monitoring method of the power distribution rooms of the passenger train carriages have following beneficial effects: environmental state can be monitored in a real-time manner in order to avoid potential safety hazards of fire disasters; characteristics of convenient maintenance, flexible and convenient networking, convenient application and reliable information transmission are obtained; and the monitoring system and monitoring method are easy to promote and apply.
