The invention discloses a buffering device of a shock absorber. The buffering device of the shock absorber comprises a buffer stopper mounted on a piston rod of a damper cylinder in a sleeving manner, wherein the outer diameter of the buffer stopper is sleeved with an elastic limiting ring, and the elastic deformation amount of the buffer stopper is larger than that of the elastic limiting ring; the outer surface of the buffer stopper is in waved concave-convex arrangement in the axial direction of the buffer stopper, and the elastic limiting ring is located in one concave surface of the waved concave-convex arrangement; the elastic limiting ring is located in the middle of the buffer stopper; a plurality of ring-shaped grooves are formed at intervals in the inner wall of the buffer stopper in the axial direction of the buffer stopper. The buffering device of the shock absorber is simple in structure, damage to the buffer stopper can be reduced in a driving state on a severe road, the service life of the buffer stopper is prolonged, the rigidity requirement for providing corresponding to the load requirement of the whole vehicle in time or in advance can be met, a suspension is protected finally, and impact caused by breakdown of the suspension is avoided.
