The invention relates to a universal mechanical stopping device of an elevator. The universal mechanical stopping device comprises a horizontally arranged base. Two parallel vertical supporting plates are fixed on the upper surface of the base. A first rectangular supporting tube is connected between the two supporting plates through a rotating shaft. A second rectangular supporting tube is slidably mounted in the first rectangular supporting tube. One end of the second rectangular supporting tube extends out of the other end of the first rectangular supporting tube. The side wall of the first rectangular supporting tube is provided with a cross-shaped through hole. The side wall of the second rectangular supporting tube is provided with an I-shaped through hole. Connecting bolts are arranged in the cross-shaped through hole and the I-shaped through hole, wherein a stretching spring is connected between the outer side wall of one supporting plate and the side wall of the first rectangular supporting tube at the same side. A UKS switch is fixed on the outer side wall of the other supporting plate. The end of the rotating shaft is provided with an L-shaped switch board which corresponds with the UKS switch. The universal mechanical stopping device of the elevator has advantages of simple structure, convenient use, high safety, high reliability and high universality. The universal mechanical stopping device of the elevator has functions of facilitating batch and standard production, reducing product cost and improving product competitiveness.
