The invention provides a mounting structure for a side door external windowsill reinforcing plate. The mounting structure comprises the side door external windowsill reinforcing plate and an external water cutting rubber strip; a sealing groove is formed in the external water cutting rubber strip; the upper end of the side door external windowsill reinforcing plate is arranged in the sealing groove; a barb is arranged on the groove side of the sealing groove; and the barb is connected with the side door external windowsill reinforcing plate in a buckling manner. The mounting structure has the benefits as follows: by arranging the barb, the fact that the external water cutting rubber strip is deformed after receiving a drawing force is avoided and the mounting difficulty is reduced.
