Provided is a slip control device for an electric vehicle capable of providing prompt control that eliminates a wheel slip by accurately determining the slip using only a rotation angle sensor employed in controlling the rotation of a motor. The slip control device comprises: a threshold calculation means (21) for calculating a threshold by calculating a normal angular acceleration of a motor in accordance with the operation amount of an accelerator; and an angular acceleration calculation means (22) for calculating the angular acceleration by differentiating the detected value of a rotation angle sensor (3a) twice. The slip control device further comprises: a slip determination means (23) for determining whether a wheel (7) driven by a motor (3) has slipped; and a torque limitation means (25) for limiting a torque when it is determined that there is a slip. The slip determination means (23) compares the calculated angular acceleration with the threshold, counts the number of consecutive determinations of the calculated angular acceleration exceeding the threshold, and determines there is a slip when the number reaches a prescribed value.
