The invention relates to a ship draft detection method based on parallel multi-beam sonars. Two parallel multi-beam sonars are respectively mounted on two sides of a river bank. The method comprises the following steps of: setting parameters for the parallel multi-beam sonars according to the detection distance of the parallel multi-beam sonars and the measurement accuracy of the parallel multi-beam sonars, wherein the parameters comprise beam width, and the aperture length of arrays; determining the length of the arrays and the distribution of array elements in the arrays according to the set parameters; enabling a sonar system to emit wave beams to a ship; selecting different array elements in the sonar system so as to form a plurality of parallel wave beams, wherein reflected signals are received by the parallel wave beams; measuring the center position of the parallel wave beams corresponding to the ship bottom according to the intensity of the wave beams receiving the reflected signals; and further calculating out the draft depth of the ship.
