The invention provides a remote tire pressure monitoring system based on the Zigbee technology. The remote tire pressure monitoring system comprises a Zigbee coordinator, as well as a first Zigbee terminal node, a second Zigbee terminal node and a third Zigbee terminal node which are connected with the Zigbee coordinator respectively; the first Zigbee terminal node is connected with a tire pressure detecting unit; the second Zigbee terminal node is connected with a temperature detection unit; the third Zigbee terminal node is connected with an acceleration detecting unit; the Zigbee coordinator is connected with a control module used for controlling; the control module is connected with a monitor terminal through a communication module, and is also connected with a power supply box alarm unit. The remote tire pressure monitoring system has the advantages that wireless connection is realized through Zigbee; the whole-journey wireless real-time monitoring of tire pressure of a plurality of tires can be realized; the energy consumption is low; the accuracy is high; the radiation is low.
