The protection device comprises a parachute cabin catapulting cylinder, a single-chip microcomputer, a tilt angle sensor and an acceleration sensor. A parachute and a catapulting assembly used for catapulting and opening the parachute are arranged in the parachute bin catapulting cylinder. The tilt angle sensor and the accelerationsensor are electrically connected with the single-chip microcomputer. The single-chip microcomputer is electrically connected with the catapulting assembly. Active parachute landing protection can beprovided for the multi-rotor unmanned aerial vehicle, safe slow landing of the multi-rotor unmanned aerial vehicle in emergency is effectively guaranteed, the overall safety protection level of the unmanned aerial vehicle and equipment is improved, and economic losses and damage risks caused by accidental falling of the equipment are reduced.
