The invention discloses a rail vehicle traction battery remaining capacity endurance mileage prediction method. The method comprises the steps that the current battery remaining capacity is acquired;when the current battery remaining amount is greater than or equal to the preset battery remaining amount, correcting the current battery remaining amount according to the collected current dischargecurrent to obtain a preliminarily corrected battery remaining amount; correcting the current battery remaining amount again according to the collected current environment temperature to obtain a repeatedly corrected battery remaining amount; obtaining the discharge capacity of the current unit mileage; and when the repeatedly corrected battery remaining amount is greater than or equal to the preset battery remaining amount, obtaining the current endurance mileage according to the endurance mileage corresponding relation between the current unit mileage discharge amount and the repeatedly corrected battery remaining amount. According to the current discharge current and the current environment temperature, correcting the current battery remaining amount twice in sequence so as to obtain anaccurate current endurance mileage. The invention also discloses a system for predicting the endurance mileage of the residual electric quantity of the traction battery of the railway vehicle.
