The invention relates to a novel device capable of enabling a bicycle to move forwards through forward and backward pedaling. The bicycle pedal comprises an upper shell, a lower shell and a middle shaft sleeve, and is characterized by further comprising two groups of ratchet wheels and a group of planetary gear trains, the first group of ratchet wheels is an inner ratchet wheel, and a middle pawlseat is integrated with a central sun wheel and the middle shaft sleeve of a planetary gear transmission and mounted on a bicycle pedal middle shaft to serve as a driving component. An inner ratchet ring of the ratchet wheel, an inner gear ring of the planetary gear train and the upper shell are integrated to form a driven part, and a large flywheel (or a large flywheel set) of the bicycle is assembled on the outer circle of the driven part. A plurality of planet wheels installed on a planet carrier are arranged between the center sun wheel and the inner gear ring, and an outer ratchet wheel of a second ratchet wheel is further arranged on the planet carrier.
