The invention discloses a variable lane control method based on navigation information, and particularly relates to the field of traffic management, and the method comprises the following steps: S1, detecting lane-level flow; s2, estimating travel time between intersections; s3, acquiring vehicle navigation information; s4, predicting steering traffic flow; and S5, generating a variable lane scheme: determining the direction of the variable lane according to the predicted number of vehicles running in each direction, the predicted number of lanes in each direction and the difference of passingtime of vehicles running in different directions. According to the invention, a vehicle-road cooperative communication mechanism is utilized to obtain the predetermined driving direction of a part ofvehicles when the vehicles pass through a certain intersection, the predetermined driving direction is used for controlling the variable lane, the accuracy of the obtained data is high, the basis foradjusting the variable lane is more reliable, and adjustment of the variable lane tends to be more reasonable.
