The detection methodcomprises the steps of acquiring a plurality of first steering rotation angles corners of a vehicle in a first driving time period and a plurality of second steering wheel rotation angles of the vehicle in a second driving time period; determining a variance reference value of steering wheel rotation of the vehicle in the first driving time period based on the plurality of first steering wheel rotation angles, and determining a real-time variance value of steering wheel rotation of the vehicle in the second driving time period based on the plurality of second steering wheel rotation angles; if the real-time variance value is smaller than the variance reference value, sending out a prompt alarm; and if the duration of the prompt alarm exceeds a preset duration, determining that the driverof the vehicle is in a fatigue driving state. According to the invention, the detection process and the detection result are not influenced by the change of the external environment, and the anti-interference capability is greatly improved.
