One specific embodiment of the method comprises the following steps: operation parameters sent by the unmanned aerial vehicle according to a return period are received; a return period state ofthe unmanned aerial vehicle corresponding to the return period is established according to the operation parameters; according to a continuous return period state corresponding to the continuous return period, whether the continuous return period state is the same as continuous early warning states included in a predefined fault early warning model correspondingly or not and whether the occurrencesequence of the continuous return period state is consistent with the occurrence sequences of the continuous early warning states correspondingly or not are judged; and an early warning message is sent to the unmanned aerial vehicle when the continuous return period state is the same as the continuous early warning states correspondingly and the occurrence sequence of the continuous return periodstate is consistent with the occurrence sequences of the continuous early warning states correspondingly. According to the method, unmanned aerial vehicle faults can be early warned in advance.
