The invention relates to the technical field of electric vehicle battery management, in particular to an electric vehicle battery internal temperature safety early warning method and a monitoring system. The safety early warning method comprises the steps that a database of battery pack discharge characteristics is configured in a BMS of the electric vehicle; recording discharge data information of the battery pack in each travel of the electric vehicle in a database; in the running process of the electric vehicle, real-time discharge data information of the battery pack is collected; and comparing the real-time discharge data information with discharge data information in a database, and giving an alarm when the discharge data information is abnormal. According to the invention, the battery parameters in the running process of the electric vehicle are monitored according to the performance of the discharge characteristics of the battery in each travel, and an alarm is given in time when abnormality is found, thereby achieving the purpose of safety early warning of the internal temperature of the battery and improving the safety of the electric vehicle.
