The invention relates to a counterweight hoisting energy-saving system of a crane, which comprises hoisting mechanisms and counterweight energy-saving mechanisms; each counterweight energy-saving mechanism comprises a counterweight (5) and a counterweight steel wire rope used for transmitting the potential energy of the counterweight (5), and each hoisting mechanism comprises a hoisting steel wirerope used for transmitting the potential energy of a lifting appliance. The counterweight hoisting energy-saving system further comprises reduction gearboxes (2) and balancing winding drums (3) for winding the counterweight steel wire ropes, the balancing winding drums (3) are connected with the hoisting mechanisms through the reduction gearboxes (2), and the counterweights (5) are further connected with counterweight protection modules for limiting movement of the counterweights (5) in the vertical direction. Compared with the prior art, the counterweight hoisting energy-saving system has the advantages of being obvious in energy-saving effect, simple in structure, high in safety, high in guide precision, stable in high-speed operation and the like.
