The system comprises a license plate acquisition module, a parking space information acquisition module, a path generation module, a server and a mobile terminal. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring a parking space and license plate information on the parking space; generating a parking lot map; and obtaining license plate information needing to be queried, and displaying a path from the query position to the parking space where the query license plate is located, a path from the path to the nearest exit, and the number of queuing vehicles at each exit. According to the invention, the utilization rate of the parking lot can be effectively improved, the time of vehicle searching and leaving from the parking lot by a vehicle owner can be reduced, the time of the vehicle owner can be saved, and convenience is brought to vehicle owners.
