The invention discloses an intelligent parking charging system and method for a parking lot, and relates to the field of electric vehicle charging. The system comprises a mobile robot which can move autonomously and is arranged in the parking lot, and is provided with a cable, wherein the two ends of the cable are respectively provided with a first connector in butt joint with a charging pile and a second connector in butt joint with an electric vehicle charging port; the mobile robot is used for automatically and electrically connecting the electric vehicle with the charging pile; the parking lot central control equipment is used for controlling the mobile robot and the charging pile; the vehicle-mounted equipment is connected with the vehicle-mounted computer to control the electric vehicle to open and close a charging port; the vehicle-mounted equipment is also used for receiving parking space guidance from the parking lot central control equipment and exchanging electric quantity information with the parking lot central control equipment; and the mobile terminal performs information interaction with the vehicle-mounted equipment and the parking lot central control equipment. Parking and charging automation of the electric vehicle is achieved, manual operation is avoided, time is saved, and the risk of electric shock of personnel is avoided.
