    本发明公开了一种电动汽车高效制动装置及其制动方法,包括制动装置本体,在制动装置本体上设有传动轴,传动轴的中央外部设有驱动制动器,驱动制动器的壳体支架为圆柱状,壳体支架上对称设有一级制动机构、二级制动机构、三级制动机构,制动机构上的液压油缸推轴上设有环抱刹车机构,环抱刹车机构的弧形支架内部表面设有圆弧形制动片,制动装置本体一端的中央设有液压控制器,制动装置本体上配合设有刹车片制动器,刹车片制动器、驱动轴制动器与液压控制器之间采用油管配合连接,该制动装置采用对车轮进行制动的同时还对汽车的传动轴进行制动,使汽车的整个驱动系统同时减速,大大缩短汽车制动的时间,有效延缓刹车制动器制动性能的衰减。
