The invention provides a quadruped robot capable of being used in an office building firefighting stair channel. The quadruped robot comprises a robot body, a mounting box is mounted on the right side wall of the top of the robot body, a detection mechanism is inserted into the top of an inner cavity of the mounting box, and a mounting sleeve is mounted at the bottom of the inner cavity of the mounting box; a push rod is slidably inserted into the top of an inner cavity of the mounting sleeve, the top end of the push rod is fixedly connected with the bottom wall of the detection mechanism, a first electromagnet is mounted at the bottom of the inner cavity of the mounting sleeve, a magnetic block is mounted at the bottom end of the push rod, and the device is electrified to work through the first electromagnet to generate magnetic force which is the same as the magnetic force of the first magnetic block. The push rod drives the detection mechanism to move upwards, and the current direction of a power supply connected with the first electromagnet is alternately changed, so that the push rod can drive the detection mechanism to move up and down in a reciprocating manner, the height of the detection mechanism is continuously changed, and the detection accuracy is prevented from being influenced due to the fact that detection equipment is located below for a long time.
