The invention discloses a sliding plate driven folding bicycle which comprises a sliding plate driving assembly, a driving device comprises two driving sliding plates sliding front and back, and linear reciprocating motion of the driving sliding plates is converted into rotation motion of two transmission shafts of a rear wheel through transmission of a chain and a flywheel set. Bevel gear sets on a rear wheel transmission shaft and a fixed shaft enable two groups of sliding plates to move reversely, the two transmission shafts are connected with a rear hub through a one-way bearing, torsion can be output only when the transmission shafts rotate forwards, on the contrary, the one-way bearing idles to enable the sliding plates to reset, and the two driving sliding plates alternately output torsion to drive the bicycle to run. The device can also be used as fitness equipment indoors. The electric bicycle further comprises a locking connecting rod, a folding device of the handlebar vertical rod and a brake system in a hydraulic hub. The transmission mode better conforms to the human mechanics, torsion output is more continuous and balanced, and the device can be carried about after being folded.
