The invention discloses a battery thermal runaway early warning method and system. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring characteristic information of a battery; judging whether the battery is in a potential thermal runaway state or not by utilizing a thermal runaway prediction strategy, wherein the condition of the thermal runaway prediction strategy comprises that the voltage of the real-time battery is greater than a preset battery voltage threshold value; and/or the real-time surface temperature of the battery is greater than a preset battery surface temperature threshold value; and/or the real-time gas mass concentration is greater than a preset gas mass concentration threshold. Thermal runaway grading early warning is carried out through the method, potential safety hazards of thermal runaway can be eliminated in time, and the occurrence probability of thermal runaway is greatly reduced.

    本发明公开了一种电池热失控早期预警方法和系统,方法包括:获取电池的特征信息;利用热失控预测策略判断所述电池是否处于潜在热失控状态,所述热失控预测策略的条件包括:实时电池的电压大于预设电池电压阈值;和/或实时电池的表面温度大于预设电池表面温度阈值;和/或实时气体质量浓度大于预设气体质量浓度阈值。通过该方法进行热失控分级预警,有利于及时消除热失控安全隐患,极大程度降低热失控发生概率。
